I had the most delicious cocktail on Tuesday night, made even nicer by the fact that it was paid for by work whilst staying at a four star hotel, also paid for by work, accompanied by a 3 course meal - you guessed it, also paid for by work. Anyways, the cocktail for which I have been craving for ever since is a Strawberry Mule:

Strawberry Mule

Here's how to make a Strawberry Mule, one of my most popular stick drinks. Add four large strawberries to shaker glass and crush three or four times with 30 ml white syrup or one tablespoon white sugar. Then add ice to three-quarters of the glass, squeeze and drop in three lime quarters. To this add 60 ml vodka ? chilled is best, shake approximately six times, then pour into a glass. Do not strain. Top with ice and ginger beer. Garnish with a sprig of fresh mint. Remember, when adding ingredients to the mixing glass always allow for a small amount of space at the top, roughly one to two centimetres. This will leave space after the cocktail has been shaken to add any extra ice or garnishes.

Drink, eat, enjoy: Strawberry Mule

As the subject says, only two days after today till my 5 day weekend! So a very big yay! to that.

Not much else really to update on. Just boring stuff. Managing, just, to pay this month bills. Ordered some groceries online which arrived yesterday so I can make my own lunches and thus cut down on my weekly costs.

Shadow Siege is going well, especially code wise. And I can't wait to see the new talents in. Which will include things like acute senses, light sleeper, immunities, perfect pitch, high pain tolerance, ambidexterous, etc, just to name a few. The new creation process is amazing, and for those that play, you'll see that very soon. All very geared for the code to support a roleplaying environment. If you do play, you can find out more information on our forums.

Tired. The weekend was very frustrating. With first pipex then genesis muds going down twice, allowing for only a brief spurt of rp late Sunday night (Why do I always get the main block or RP on SUNDAY! The day before work). And last night's rp went well, but was let down by the OOC reaction of one of the characters involved. But ahh well.

On another note, we managed to secure our hosting with our new host mu-host.com, and we've already half-way progressed to uploading our game there. We've yet to transfer the domain name over, as we want to run it on trial there for a week or so to make sure it's stable, before making the move permanent.

The main reason for the move? We've had a bit of down time with genesis muds over the last 2 weeks which hasn't been good. The new hosts are a hell of a lot cheaper and provide a lot more services. We know the owner personally, so even if it does go down, unlike with genesis muds, we can at least be informed about it.

I've got my bi-weekly report to do for SS tonight, and unfortunatley it hasn't got as much on it as I would of liked. Largely due to work being hectic and the down time. But still managed to get most of what I wanted done, done. And I also managed to help out Huw with working out some of the costs and standards for the new professions and talents.
